An Emirati man has set a new world record for BASE jumping after parachuting from the top of the Burj Khalifa. The developer of the Burj Khalifa confirmed that they permitted the man to jump off the tower, which had a grand ceremony on Monday. UAE tops Arab World in ranking for prosperity

The UAE maintained its position as the most prosperous country in the Arab World and the only nation in the Middle East and North Africa region to be ranked in the top 50 for the second year running, according to a global survey of wealth and happiness released yesterday.
